Journalist Alasdair Gold has recently talked about Danny Rose’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur.
Gold recently posted a video on his Twitter account and he talked about multiple potential transfers for Spurs ahead of the deadline of the domestic transfer window. One player that he talked about was Rose and he believes that there has been ‘no movement’ in the situation of the Englishman.
Rose has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough recently and it has been reported that following the arrival of Sergio Reguilon, Rose happens to be Spurs’ third-choice option in the left-back position (as per the Daily Mail).
Would you like it if Spurs keep Rose at the club?
Yes
No
Gold revealed that there has been ‘no movement’ when it comes to a potential move away from Spurs for Rose.
He said: “In terms of outgoings, Danny Rose – seems to be no movement there at the moment whatsoever on a potential destination for Danny Rose, which is a shame. Obviously, he’s not involved in the first team whatsoever at the moment.”
TIF Thoughts…
Rose, currently 30, hasn’t made a single first-team appearance for Spurs this season and that might be a reflection of the fact that Jose Mourinho doesn’t trust him too much currently. He is currently valued at £9.00m.
He was loaned out to Newcastle in the second half of the 2019/20 season and he had managed to make 11 Premier League appearances for the Magpies. It shows that apart from adding depth to the Spurs first-team, he can still contribute in some ways. And if Spurs don’t manage to move him on before the deadline of the domestic transfer window, the Englishman might still be useful whenever he’s called upon to do a job.
