Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold discussed all of the latest Tottenham Hotspur transfer news during the most recent video that has been posted on his YouTube channel and he spent some time talking about the future of Spurs winger Jack Clarke.

Clarke joined the north London club from Leeds United in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee of £9.9m, however, the 19-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the Lilywhites’ first team and during the latest video posted to his YouTube channel, Gold discussed the likelihood of Clarke being loaned out.

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

He said: “Jack Clarke – a lot of interest [in him] as well. Looks like Birmingham [are] probably leading the way there for him. That’s another one that could go into deadline day or could go into [the] EFL window.

“He needs a move where he’s going to start. We saw little glimpses of Jack Clarke in pre-season; what he can do. We need him to go somewhere and get his confidence up and get his minutes.”

Would you like to see Clarke go out on loan to an EFL club?

TIF Thoughts…

So, as can be seen in what the journalist had to say, it seems as though Clarke is likely to secure a loan move away from Spurs for the 2020/21 season, with Birmingham City said to be the frontrunners for his signature.

While Clarke is yet to make a first-team appearance for Spurs, he has got experience of playing in England’s second tier, with the 19-year-old having made 29 appearances in the Championship thus far in his career, in addition to having made two appearances in the Championship playoffs.

Gold seems to think that a loan to an EFL club like Birmingham would be a good move for both Clarke and Spurs, so, as it is possible for the Lilywhites to do a deal for Clarke with an EFL club until 16th October, it will be interesting to see how this potential move develops over the next week and a half.
