In the latest video for their YouTube channel, Football Insider has made a claim regarding Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale ahead of the club’s clash with West Ham.

The Welsh international returned to the north London club on loan from Real Madrid in the recent transfer window, although a knee injury has meant that he is yet to make his second debut for the Lilywhites.

However, during the Football Insider video, they claim that the 31-year-old has recovered from that injury and is expected to feature in Spurs’ next game against West Ham on Sunday.

Here’s what they had to say about the winger during the video:

“We understand that Gareth Bale is in line to make his second Tottenham debut next weekend, but is set to start from the bench.

“It’ll be music to the Spurs fans’ ears that the 31-year-old Wales international has recovered from the knee injury that he was carrying when he returned to north London and is now training fully with the first-team squad.

“But Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff are set to gradually phase Bale back into first-team football after such limited game time over the last year.

“A Spurs source has told Football Insider that the plan is for Bale to make his second debut for the club that he lit up during his first spell, however, the forward is unlikely to make the starting eleven against West Ham in next [Sunday’s] Premier League clash.”

From what the video suggests, Spurs fans can anticipate seeing Bale make an appearance against the Hammers on Sunday, although he is likely to start on the bench, which is unsurprising when you consider how devastating Spurs’ attack was in their last game against Manchester United, where they won 6-1 at Old Trafford.

However, with West Ham in good form at the moment, perhaps if the game is tight, we may not see Bale make an appearance if Jose Mourinho wants to bring on a more match-fit player to potentially see out the game, but it certainly seems as if Lilywhites supporters won’t have too long to wait until he is back on the pitch for their club.
