Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Beren Cross shares an article regarding the ‘Project Big Picture’ proposals.
In his article for Leeds Live, Cross discusses the pros and cons for Marcelo Bielsa’s side within the proposals of Project Big Picture, which were drawn up by Manchester United and Liverpool and include an 18-team Premier League, an increase to EFL funding and the termination of the League Cup.
So, what did these Leeds United fans make of Project Big Picture?
This must not be allowed to happen. Top 6 clubs dictating how football in effectively run.

This whole thing just sounds plain wrong to me.

Got to wonder does this force radz hand a bit on taking on partners or a sale of the club? Wait too long and the powers could veto to prevent teams lower in the league getting a foothold and a larger share of the wealth… seems very dodgey to me

Cross states in his article that, if the proposals were to go ahead, the change to an 18-team league would likely result in one season seeing five teams relegated, which, as a newly-promoted side, obviously poses some level of threat to Leeds.
However, he goes on to state that, should Leeds avoid relegation in the hypothetical season in which five teams were to be relegated, they would potentially benefit in the future from a play-off style relegation spot, in which the side that finished third from bottom in the Premier League would play a one-off fixture against a side who finished in the play-off spots in the Championship, which provides the chance for a team to remain in the top flight even if they finish in the bottom three.
Do you think the proposals in Project Big Picture are good or bad for Leeds?
Good
Bad
Despite this, many more fans of Leeds took to Twitter to air their displeasure at the proposals.
This would be the nail in the coffin for football for me. If it wasn't for Bielsa, I wouldn't watch much football. I'd much rather spend my weekend watching NFL where everything is an even playing field. https://t.co/EBVHCYJS05

Why would 5 of the other 11 clubs vote for this?

It will never happen! It’s a pipe dream

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Leeds fans are against the idea of Project Big Picture, and, while some seem to feel the proposals will not be approved, others state that should the plans go ahead, it will be the final nail in the coffin for them.
