Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been reacting to some transfer news from Football.london reporter Alasdair Gold regarding Inter defender Milan Skriniar.
The journalist suggested in a recent Q&A session for Football.london, (via Daily Hotspur), that the north London club are likely to return for the Slovakian international during the January transfer window, having failed to bring him in during the recent summer window.
He also suggests that much will depend on the former Sampdoria man’s situation at the Serie A club, and that if he is playing regularly and they decide they don’t want to let him go, then it is unlikely that the Lilywhites will be able to prise him away from Inter.
Spurs were heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old defender in the recent transfer window, with the club’s technical performance director Steve Hitchen travelling to Milan to try and negotiate a deal but ultimately the two sides could not agree on a fee. So far this season, Skriniar has made two appearances in Serie A for Antonio Conte’s side, averaging a disappointing 6.51/10 rating (per WhoScored), so if that form does not pick up, perhaps they will be more willing to let him go in January.

Overall, it seems clear that the majority of Spurs fans would love to see their club complete a deal for Skriniar in January, although from the sounds of things, much will depend on his situation at Inter.
