Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a claim from Italian journalist Nicolo Schira regarding Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
According to Schira (via The Spurs Express), the Lilywhites have made an official bid to sign the German international on loan, with an option to buy.
It has been suggested recently that should Spurs not be able to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar in the current transfer window, they will turn their attention to the former Roma man as a ‘plan B’, and it now seems as if they are accelerating those plans.
The 27-year-old made 20 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League last season, averaging a fairly solid 6.77 rating (per Whoscored), but it seems as if the arrival of Thiago Silva from PSG has meant he has lost his place in Frank Lampard’s side, as he is yet to make an appearance so far this season.
Would you take Rudiger at Spurs?

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans would be less than happy if their club signed Rudiger instead of Skriniar.
