Many Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share praise for 19-year-old Hoops right-back Jeremie Frimpong and his performance in the Glasgow-based club’s 1-0 win over FK Sarajevo on Thursday evening.
This win saw the Hoops secure themselves a place in the group stages of the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League.
Frimpong, who joined Celtic from Manchester City in September 2019 for £342k and is currently valued at £2.7m according to Transfermarkt, played the entirety of this match and despite picking up a late yellow card in the 89th minute of the contest, a lot of Celtic supporters were full of praise for the Dutchman’s performance in this game on social media.
We played well against a difficult stodgy opponent. Need a bit more flair in the team though. Frimpong excellent again.

Some Hoops fans went so far as to say that the 19-year-old Netherlands U20 international was their man of the match for this fixture.
Brown solid. Some brilliant flashes from Eddy. Christie’s distribution poor, but did well to help force the goal. Frimpong MotM again. Away win in Europe and qualification. I’ll take that.

And once again Frimpong was MOTM for me undroppable at the moment, which probably means…

Was Frimpong Celtic's best player versus Sarajevo?
YES
NO
So, as can be seen from these Celtic fans’ tweets, it certainly seems as though plenty of the Glasgow-based club’s supporters were impressed by Frimpong’s performance versus Sarajevo.
Following Thursday’s game, Frimpong has now appeared in 11 of Celtic’s 12 games in all competitions so far this term, indicating that he has been a prominent member of Neil Lennon’s side and if the Hoops boss shares these Celtic fans’ opinions about how he performed in this clash, then we feel it is unlikely that the 19-year-old’s game time will decrease any time soon and he will likely continue to be an important member of the Hoops’ squad for the near future.
