Spurs fan and podcaster Ricky Sacks has been tweeting about the club’s out-of-favour left-back Danny Rose, prompting a response from some of the supporters on the social media platform.
The 30-year-old is yet to feature for Jose Mourinho’s side having returned from a loan spell at Newcastle United at the end of July (as per Transfermarkt).
Sacks suggested that keeping the ‘unhappy’ player could have a negative impact on the dressing room and that in his view, the club should be looking to terminate his contract ‘even if it means providing him with a hefty payout’.
How have a sample of the Spurs supporters responded to Ricky Sacks’ post regarding Danny Rose?
Tottenham don’t need say or do anything regarding Danny rose. Blame his agent. We’ve already set the tone. He ain’t in the squad nor does he have a number.

Wholly agree. Needs to go, and has a history of upsetting the apple cart. Sad because he was a great player, needed an arm around him back then, but time to move on now

Yep…get him out of the dressing room…they are turning a corner and don’t need his negative attitude holding them back.

Should Spurs consider terminating Danny Rose's contract?
Yes
No
I agree, but I’m guessing the club doesn’t want to set a precedent here. Don’t want to pay off disgruntled players to go away. They’re going to lose money either way. Probably figure they’ll just hide him for the next year to minimize any distraction.

Hefty payout? For what? I don’t mind terminate his contract if he want to be free agent but why Spurs should pay Danny so he can sign other club for free?
He is not upseting dressing room cause he is nowhere near first team. He doesn’t train with them cause he can’t be trusted

Nah he’s a bad egg, keep him away from the dressing room at all costs

It’s clear that the majority of these supporters want to see Rose leave the club sooner rather than later but not everybody agrees that the Lilywhites should be looking to pay him off by terminating his contract early. The player’s current deal with the club is due to expire in June next year (as per Transfermarkt) and based on the fact he has been frozen out, it is probably safe to say there is very little chance of him staying in north London beyond that.
