A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Mehrdad Ghodoussi which contains a link to an exclusive from the Shields Gazette on the proposed takeover of the Toon.
The article claims that Newcastle supporters Gordon Stein and Keith Patterson, of Newcastle Consortium Supporters Limited, have sent a legal letter to the Premier League.
In this letter, the Premier League is accused of breaking the UK’s anti-competition law by not allowing the proposed takeover of Newcastle by PCP Capital Partners, PIF and the Reuben brothers to take place.
The two men have the support of Robert O’Donoghue, a Sport and Competition lawyer, and the statement has now been made public.
Judging by this tweet, it could be argued it has the backing of the consortium as Ghodoussi is the husband of Amanda Staveley, who was involved in the attempt to buy the club that was withdrawn in July.
This post from Ghodoussi has drawn the attention of many Newcastle fans, who are excited by this development.
So, what did these Newcastle fans think of Ghodoussi’s takeover tweet?

Are you now excited about the takeover after this tweet?
Yes, this is good news
No, this means nothing
The takeover has been bubbling away in the background ever since Mike Ashley decided to appoint two lawyers to try and force the takeover through, and now it looks like this fan group has also made a legal challenge.
It is good to see that Ghodoussi is supporting it, and hopefully, for the sake of the Newcastle fans, this challenge works, and the takeover is accepted.
This post continued to please many Toon fans.

It remains to be seen what happens next, but the Premier League has now been faced with a fresh legal challenge, and it will be intriguing to see how they respond.
For now, though, many Toon fans are just excited to see Ghodoussi tweet about this legal challenge.
