Many Leeds United fans have been talking about the latest news that Phil Hay recently relayed on social media.
Hay recently quote-tweeted a post from the official Leeds United Twitter account. The journalist confirmed that the club’s summer signing Diego Llorente has been ruled out for three weeks. Defender Liam Cooper could be ruled out for a fortnight, but is likely to undergo a fitness test before the Whites’ Premier League game against Wolves on Monday.
So, what did these Leeds fans make of the club’s injury news?
I thought nations league was supposed to cut down on friendlies so honestly what’s even the point

Llorente joined Leeds from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window for a fee of £18 million. He is yet to make his debut for the Whites and was on the bench for their 1-1 draw against Manchester City at Elland Road.
As for Cooper, he has made three appearances in the Premier League for Leeds this season, making starts against Man City, Sheffield United and Fulham (as per Transfermarkt).
Some other Leeds fans also expressed their frustrations about the injury update and they made it clear that they don’t like the international break.

These Leeds fans are pretty frustrated about the international break and some of them don’t see the point of having it.
While Llorente and Cooper are injured, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk as other centre-back options and Oliver Casey is also a centre-back by trade. Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips can also play in the centre-back position (as per Transfermarkt), so there seems to be enough depth in that department for the club and that might come in handy for Leeds in their next few games.
