Supporters of Leeds United have recently reacted to some quotes from Michael Cuisance which were shared on social media.
During the transfer window, which closed on Monday, the Whites had looked set to sign the French midfielder from German outfit Bayern Munich.
However, the deal was revealed to have collapsed by The Athletic and it was stated that the 21-year-old middleman had failed his medical.
Cuisance went on to sign for French club Marseille on loan (per BBC) and in his first press conference, he claimed there was “no problem with the medical examination [at Leeds]” (per Beren Cross).
The player went on to state that his medical with Marseille “went very well” and that “there was no problem on [Cuisance’s] side”.
Lots of Leeds fans then flocked to this tweet containing the quotes to share their thoughts.
Cuisance in his first Marseille press conference: "There was no problem with the medical examination [at Leeds]. I spent one in Marseille and it went very well. There was no problem on my side. Afterwards, I don't know more. Here I spent it and I'm in good shape." #lufc

Leeds medical more thorough than theirs then clearly. Shown a problem that might or might not become a problem I guess. Lot of money to roll the dice like that, so I understand why we pulled back.

Cue an injury in his opening game for Marseille subsequently putting him out of action until 2021.

Something didn’t sit right with Bielsa, Radz, Orta ect. Thats more than enough reason for me. For what they’ve done for this club, I will never question their judgement. #MOT

While the midfielder has moved on loan to Marseille, he was set for a permanent transfer to Elland Road in a £20m deal (per The Athletic).
Do you believe there was a problem in Michael Cuisance's medical with Leeds?
Yes, why would they lie?
No, I think it was a lie
I suspect a loan medical is different to a permanent deal medicial or am I wrong

During the 2019/20 season, the Frenchman, who is valued at £9 million (as per Transfermarkt), made nine appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich in which he scored once and provided no assists (per WhoScored).
Over his nine outings, the midfielder earned a 6.70/10 average rating which made him the 16th-best performer to feature for the German club in the league.
We’ve moved on ??

Well look at it this way, we could’ve had Cuisance who allegedly showed a poor attitude, wasn’t necessarily 100% fit (could have took weeks to get up to speed) or you can take Rapinha who is match fit and is hungry to move up in the world. I think we probably got the best deal

As can be seen in these responses from Leeds supporters, they seem to trust the Whites’ medical team more than the player who looked set to sign for the club.
