Supporters of Leeds United have been reacting to a comment on social media that was shared by Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White.
Last season, the English centre-back spent the term on loan with the Whites and during the recent transfer window, Leeds made three failed bids to bring him back to Elland Road (per Sky Sports).
Ultimately, the defender ended up signing a new four-year deal with the Seagulls which ended the speculation over a return to Leeds.
However, following a recent post on Instagram by Oliver Casey, White responded with ‘miss you’ (via @jemccudden).
After a screenshot of the message on Instagram was shared on Twitter, lots of Leeds fans responded to it.
Poor Ben White :(. Hope he's OK. @TheSquareBall pic.twitter.com/NA3vLRnz2C

The human side of it. I feel a little sorry for him. Be poignant if in the summer he goes on holiday with our lads again.

While on loan with the Whites, the central defender featured in all 46 of the club’s Championship fixtures during the 2019/20 season (per WhoScored).
Do you think the message means Ben White wants to be a Leeds player?
No, that's assuming a lot
Yes, I think it does
Got a feeling he will be gone in January…

He needs a better agent. Ah well, we’ve moved on now. Good luck to him.

Even with the signings we have made, I still think we would have been much stronger with him, than without. Would love to think that we’ve not seen the last of him in a Leeds shirt, but may well just have the memories of last season.

Over his 46 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the Championship last season, White, who is valued at £4.95 million (as per Transfermarkt), earned an impressive 7.09/10 average performance rating.
That was enough to make the centre-back the fifth-best performer for the club during the campaign, while according to journalist Phil Hay, White became Leeds’ ‘priority’ in the summer months as they looked to strengthen their squad ahead of the season’s start, before White eventually remained at his parent club after returning from his loan spell at Elland Road.
He is a Leeds man , imho

Feel so bad for the lad being made to stay at Brighton and in a relegation scrap

As can be seen in these responses from Leeds supporters, many seem to have assumed that he still wants to be a Leeds player following the social media post.
