Here’s a sample of England fans slating Phillips:
Please, someone explain why Kalvin Philips is an England international. Guy is average at best.

He is the best RB but ok. We’ve also got one of the best strikers in world football.
Kalvin Phillips is awful though

Kalvin Phillips looks scared to touch the ball every time I don’t understand why he’s consistently in the lineup

What is Kalvin Philips good at? Can somebody please tell me

Why did Kelvin Phillips start? Quite possibly the worst midfielder in this current England squad

Phillips played the full 90 minutes of the game against Denmark, in which he earned himself a disappointing match rating of 6.34/10 for his performance (per WhoScored).
Kalvin Phillips is so overrated. Won’t be long until he is permanently on the bench or just not part of the England team all together anymore.

Did Kalvin Phillips have a good game against Denmark?
Yes
No
During the match, Phillips had a total of 71 touches of the ball, made three key passes, won one aerial battle and totalled a passing accuracy percentage of 81.6% (per WhoScored).
Phillips is stealing a living in that England line up

Kalvin Phillips is Ryan Shawcross levels of out of his depth for England

It’s a shame that so many England fans have decided to pick on Phillips specifically, even though he did put in an underwhelming performance against Denmark.
The best thing Phillips can do now is to put this defeat behind him and focus on getting a positive result for Leeds in their upcoming Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.
