Aston Villa podcaster Chris Dolan has been discussing Villa defender Ezri Konsa and what the future could hold for him.
This comes after Dolan recently made an appearance on the latest video from The Villa View YouTube channel where he spoke about a number of topics concerning the club.
On the topic of Konsa, Dolan had this to say on the defender.
He said: “I’m getting worried now a little bit about Konsa because if he carries on like that, there’ll be big, big, big clubs in for him.
“He can go to the very top. I mean, what a player he has been, and I think moving from right-back into centre-back last year at the end of the season was, for me, the defining moment. That’s where it all clicked.”
Konsa signed to Villa back in the 2019 summer transfer window from Championship side Brentford for £11.97 million.
Since then, the 22-year-old, who is currently valued at £8.1 million has made 35 appearances for Dean Smith’s side in which he has scored three goals and provided two assists for his Villa teammates.
The defender has been in impressive form for Villa so far this season with WhoScored giving him a current season rating of 7.6/10 for his performances in the three appearances he’s made for the club.

It’s brilliant to hear that Dolan thinks big clubs could potentially be interested in signing Konsa in the future. This just shows how highly thought of the defender is by the podcaster.
With Konsa having such a good start to the season with Villa in the Premier League, the Birmingham club would presumably be hoping to keep hold of the defender for as long as possible.
