Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest news update involving Kristoffer Ajer that recently emerged on social media.

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph recently tweeted about Ajer’s links to a possible Parkhead exit. According to Sky Sports’ colleagues at Sky Italia, Milan are now preparing a £15m offer for Celtic’s Norwegian defender and they are set to make contact early this week. Joseph’s tweet also claimed that the Rossoneri have been ‘keen’ on signing the defender this summer.

Sky Sports has previously reported that the representatives of both Ajer and Olivier Ntcham have asked Celtic for their valuations of the players.

Apart from Milan, clubs like Leicester City and Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Ajer. Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the Norwegian defender in recent months (as per Calciomercato).

Some other Celtic fans also talked about the latest update involving Ajer.

There has been mixed reaction amongst the Celtic fanbase to this news. Some Celtic fans would like to see the Hoops sell Ajer for around £15m, while others wouldn’t want to see him go or believe he is worth far more than Milan are said to be offering.

Ajer has been a regular for Celtic this season, having made eight appearances in all competitions. In the Premiership, he has played seven games, scoring once so far. Last season, he made 49 appearances as he played a prominent role in the side.

It shows how integral a player Ajer is to Neil Lennon’s plans at Celtic, who are looking to win their 10th Premiership title in a row this season. With that in mind, Celtic might want to keep hold of their important players, so trying to keep Ajer at Parkhead would make sense for them if they are unable to source a viable replacement by the transfer deadline.
