Many Celtic fans have flocked to the latest tweet that former striker Moussa Dembele recently posted on Twitter.

Dembele recently quote-tweeted a video that the SPFL Twitter account had relayed on social media. It had the French striker scoring a goal for the Bhoys in an Old Firm derby back in 2016. Dembele scored a hat-trick in that game, helping his club to beat their Old Firm rivals by a convincing 5-1 scoreline.

Dembele joined Celtic from Fulham in the summer of 2016 and stayed at Parkhead for two years, leaving for Lyon in the summer of 2018 (as per Transfermarkt).

During his stint at Celtic Park, Dembele made 94 appearances in all competitions and scored 51 goals. He also racked up a tally of 18 assists. Some other Celtic fans also raved about their former striker’s tweet.

Some of these Celtic fans would like Dembele to return to Parkhead soon and it perhaps shows how important a player he was for the Bhoys.

He had a very good record against Rangers as well, as he played against them nine times in all competitions and scored as many as seven goals, grabbing four assists (as per Transfermarkt).

Dembele, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks, clearly made an impact during his time at Celtic and it is certainly good to see that the club’s fans still have a liking for him.
