Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet that John McGinn recently posted on social media.

McGinn recently replied to a tweet that Chris Sutton had initially posted. Sutton’s tweet talked about Gary Breen’s recent comments regarding Shane Duffy’s move to Celtic.

Breen believes that Duffy is a “brilliant signing” for Celtic, but he raised concerns about the standard of players in the Scottish Premiership.

Which player played the highest number of minutes in all competitions for Celtic in the 2019/20 season?

He feels that Duffy will be playing against players of “lesser quality” in Scotland and that would be a “big concern” for Ireland since Duffy plays for the Irish national team.

Sutton described these comments as an ‘idiotic attack’. McGinn, in his tweet, called Breen a ‘donkey’ as well. This tweet from the Scottish midfielder caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who aired their thoughts about what the player had to say.

Is John McGinn right about Gary Breen?

McGinn is a Celtic fan and the Hoops tried to sign him back in the summer of 2018 but they had multiple bids rejected for the current Aston Villa midfielder.

Some other Celtic fans flocked to the Scottish midfielder’s tweet.

These Celtic fans liked what McGinn had to say about Breen’s comments and a lot of them disagree with what the pundit talked about.

Duffy has already scored on his Celtic debut and helped the club pick up a 5-0 win over Ross County. It has been reported that the defender is ’emotionally invested in this season’ for the Hoops and he happens to be a lifelong fan of the Bhoys.

He has clearly made a good start to life at Parkhead. Celtic fans and McGinn can only hope that Duffy proves Breen wrong by improving as a player and by helping the club win their tenth Premiership title in a row this season.
