Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest comments that Neil Lennon has made about Odsonne Edouard.
Edouard wasn’t involved in Celtic’s 3-2 win over Livingston on Saturday. After the game, Lennon revealed that Celtic have received no bids for the Frenchman and there is no ‘confirmed interest’ in him either. Because of that, he’s ‘hoping’ that Edouard stays at Parkhead when the transfer window ends.
Lennon said that Edouard isn’t causing any problems behind the scenes and he was ‘honest enough’ to tell the club that he wasn’t feeling fit enough to start against Livingston. The Celtic boss also said that the Frenchman isn’t for sale and it is all ‘speculation’.
Reporter Peter Martin tweeted about these comments from Neil Lennon, and he believes that the manager’s comments were ‘very interesting’. He also feels that there is ‘no smoke without fire’ in this case. Martin’s tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their opinion clear about Edouard’s situation.
Do you think Edouard is leaving Celtic?
Yes
No
I would be quite happy to sell if we got big £££.

I would cash in on him and Ajeti if they want to go but needs to be sooner rather than later so we can find replacements

He’s leaving I fear. Your depiction of a Lawwell last minute job could happen.

Peter, I think we all know there are big clubs sniffing around and that if the price is right OE will be sold. I do think OE has been off form of late, not quite looked as sharp plus he has £7m worth of strikers just bought that he wants match sharp. Let’s wait and see eh?

Edouard has been in good form for Celtic this season, having found the back of the net five times in all competitions so far. In the Premiership, he has scored four goals and that includes a hat-trick against Hamilton (as per Transfermarkt).
The Frenchman has drawn links with clubs like Aston Villa, Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion. Some other Celtic fans also talked about Edouard’s situation.
If goes he goes ajeti looks very capable of his heads not in it then bye bye same as moussa oh what will we do there’s always someone that takes over the mantle

3 strikers all need game time, resting your main striker for a massive midweek game is a luxury not a sign of unrest

While Edouard didn’t feature against Livingston, he was a very important player for Celtic in the 2019/20 campaign. He found the back of the net 27 times in all competitions and racked up 19 assists for the club as well (as per Transfermarkt).
He finished as the highest scorer in the Premiership campaign last season and also won the club’s Player of the Year award. It shows how important Edouard for the Hoops. So, it is our opinion that Celtic should try their best to keep the Frenchman at Parkhead.
