Which player played the highest number of minutes in all competitions for Celtic in the 2019/20 season?

Duffy arrived at Parkhead on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this summer. He is a Celtic fan himself and has already scored twice in three appearances for the Bhoys.

Connolly joked that he was ‘disappointed’ that Duffy didn’t score on Saturday but he believes that the defender is a ‘winner’ and he will drive the team on this season.

He said: “I’m disappointed [that] he hasn’t [scored against Livingston], so I’m expecting two in the next game. Duffy makes things happen. He attacks the ball early, he makes it happen. He’s a winner. He’s going to drive the team on.

Can Duffy become a Celtic legend?

“It’s a dream come true for him, he said, and he’s making the best of it, isn’t he? He’s giving it everything in every game.”

TIF Thoughts…

Duffy has been very impressive for the Bhoys since joining on loan. He has racked up a rating of 7.91 for his performances in the league. He has been the club’s second-best performer in the campaign – only behind Ryan Christie in that regard.

Against Livingston, Duffy picked up a rating of 6.71. While it wasn’t quite the most impressive performance, he made the joint-highest number of clearances and made the second-highest number of interceptions for the Bhoys as well (as per WhoScored).

So while Celtic fans can hope to see a better performance from him in the next game, he has already shown that he is a very capable defender.
