Football YouTuber Dougie Critchley has been sharing his thoughts on Wolves’ recent transfer move for Nelson Semedo.

This comes after Critchley recently co-hosted the latest episode of Sunday Vibes from Football Daily where he spoke about a number of topics concerning European football at the moment.

To kick off this quiz on Raul Jimenez, what is his current squad number for the Old Gold?

On the subject of Semedo’s recent move to Wolves from Barcelona in a deal that could be worth £37 million, Critchley had this to say on the move.

He said: “I’m not totally convinced on Semedo the player, I think he’s good enough for Wolves clearly, but he wasn’t good enough for Barcelona either in an attacking sense, I think he only got about two assists in his last two years there and wasn’t solid enough defensively for me either so [he] needed to move on from Barcelona.”

The right-back made a total of 124 appearances for Barcelona in which he managed to score two goals and provide 11 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

The 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £36 million, played his first game for Wolves in their 4-0 defeat to West Ham United at the weekend.

In this game, Semedo earned himself a match rating of 6.81/10, making him Wolves’ second-highest rated player in what was undoubtedly a disappointing night for Nuno Espirito Santo and his players.

TIF Thoughts…

Despite not getting his Wolves career off to a good start after a disappointing defeat to West Ham, Semedo’s performance in the match showed that he is capable of putting a respectable shift in for Wolves in the Premier League.

Hopefully, for everyone at Wolves, the team can put this latest result behind them and hope Semedo can prove any doubters, like Critchley, wrong.
