To kick off this quiz on West Ham's 2019/20 season, which side did the Hammers' first win of the term come against?

One of the topics that he spoke about while discussing the Hammers was the fact that they want rid of Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini – but are struggling to find buyers for both of them.

It appears that while the Hammers want to sell both players, they are on big wages and there does not seem to be any real interest in them as things stand.

Steinberg said: “I understand there’s a need to build up funds and they are struggling in a financial sense, and they wanted to get rid of Felipe Anderson and Lanzini, but compared to [Grady] Diangana, they’re on big wages and there’s not really a market for them at the moment.”

Do you think West Ham will get rid of Lanzini and Anderson?

TIF Thoughts…

West Ham decided to sell Grady Diangana to West Bromwich Albion, which has angered Mark Noble and reportedly caused dressing room unrest, as Diangana was thought to be set for a part in David Moyes’ plans this season.

However, he was sold for £18m, while Anderson and Lanzini remain.

Anderson made just 25 league appearances last season, scoring one goal and providing four assists.

Lanzini, on the other hand, made 24 league appearances and failed to score all season, while recording three assists.

Diangana had a positive 2019/20 campaign on loan with the Baggies and headed into the upcoming season off the back of helping himself to 15 direct goal contributions for the Midlands club.

So, you can see why the likes of Noble were so annoyed, and at the moment, it looks like the Hammers will be stuck with Anderson and Lanzini. Judging by their contributions from last season, there may not be too much expected from them this year.
