Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to slam the performance of Tanguy Ndombele in the Carabao Cup penalty win against Chelsea.
After a 1-1 draw, the Lilywhites triumphed 5-4 on penalties against Frank Lampard’s side to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the competition (per BBC).
The 23-year-old played the whole 90 minutes against the Blues and earned a fairly solid 7.07 rating for his performance (per Whoscored), although it seems as if that wasn’t enough to impress a lot of Spurs fans on Twitter, with plenty of Lilywhites supporters critical of his showing.
The French international has been much more of a regular for Jose Mourinho in the first few weeks of the season, having made just 21 appearances in the Premier League last season, after fitness issues caused problems for the former Lyon man throughout his debut campaign with the North London club, having completed a club-record move last summer.
