Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a reported update on the North London club’s interest in signing Inter defender Milan Skriniar, which suggests that they are hoping to sell Juan Foyth in order to raise funds for the Slovakian international.
According to FC Inter News (via Daily Hotspur), the Lilywhites are working to sell Foyth for around €10 million (£9.1 million), to help fund a move for Skriniar.
Spurs could then make an offer of around €45 million (£40.8 million) plus bonuses for the 25-year-old over the next couple of days. It is also suggested that there is a five-year contract ready for the centre-back to sign at the North London club.
It has been suggested that Skriniar is Jose Mourinho’s top target for the rest of the transfer window, and with time running out for Spurs to agree a deal with the Serie A side, with the transfer window set to shut on 5th October, it looks as if they will have to move on Foyth in order to raise the necessary funds to bring the former Sampdoria man to the Premier League.
Would you be happy to see Foyth leave if it meant signing Skriniar?
