Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some quotes from Harry Kane regarding the upcoming 2020/21 Premier League season.
The England captain spoke to the Daily Mail ahead of the Lilywhites’ opening fixture against Everton on Sunday, saying:
“I’m at the height of my powers. Obviously it’s great scoring goals and winning Golden Boots but, as I’ve said before, there would be no better feeling than lifting a trophy with my teammates. That’s the ultimate goal. That’s what I’ll try to do and hopefully, this year can be a big year for club and country.”
Despite the 27-year-old having contributed 188 goals and 30 assists for the Lilywhites in just 287 appearances (per Transfermarkt), he is yet to win silverware with the north London club, with Spurs’ last trophy coming in the League Cup in 2008. Therefore, from his quotes, you can tell that he is desperate to win a trophy with the club this season and will be hoping that Jose Mourinho, a man renowned for his ability to win trophies, can help them secure some long-awaited success.
Do you think Kane will leave if Spurs don't win a trophy this season?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the quotes from Kane can be seen in the tweets below.
I’m almost convinced this will be his last year with us unless we win something. The way he talks in All or Nothing – he’s worried about his age and whether he can reach new heights. Can’t blame him if he does go though.

Plenty of Spurs fans seem concerned that if they don’t win anything in the upcoming season, then Kane could leave next summer.
The chances of this happening are probably at their lowest since he broke into the first team. No surprise if he leaves at end of season

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans are concerned that Kane could leave the club in the not-too-distant future unless he can win some silverware in the forthcoming campaign.
