Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a reported update on Gareth Bale, which provides details on the sort of money Tottenham Hotspur will be paying for his loan deal.

According to The Athletic (via Hotspur Related), the north London club will pay £300,000 a week, whilst Real Madrid will pay the other half of his wages, in order to see him join the club on loan. The report also suggests that the deal is expected to cost the Lilywhites around £15 million with no loan fee involved, with the club committing £100,000 a week more to Bale than their two current top earners, Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele.

1. Spurs signed Alfie Devine from which League One club?

The Welsh international looks to be on the brink of returning to Tottenham Hotspur, having left the club in 2013 to join Los Blancos for a world-record fee. Whilst he has struggled with regular injuries in recent years with the Spanish giants, whilst also falling out with manager Zinedine Zidane, his performances haven’t been too bad, as he averaged a 6.82 rating across 16 La Liga appearances last season, having contributed two goals and two assists (per WhoScored), suggesting that he can certainly still do a job when called upon.
