Tottenham Hotspur YouTuber Chris Cowlin recently welcomed Ricky Sacks on to his channel to discuss the latest goings-on at the North London club, with a focus on some of the business that the Lilywhites have done so far in the transfer window, as well as some of the players they are reportedly interested in signing.

One topic of discussion in the recent video was Spurs midfielder Dele Alli. The former MK Dons man, who is valued at £57.6 million (as per Transfermarkt), was left out the Tottenham squad to face both Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Southampton recently, which has perhaps led to some rumours suggesting that the Lilywhites are happy to loan him out during the current transfer window, with PSG having reportedly registered an interest (per The Guardian).

Spurs fans: How well can you remember the last week of THFC action? - 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal of the season?

Here’s what Sacks had to say about Alli’s future and his relationship with Jose Mourinho during the video:

“I don’t think I’ve enjoyed watching anybody rise as much as he did in those first couple of years. It was wonderful to see a player coming in from League One, take the Premier League by storm, play fearlessly and just rip up the whole league. The stats were unreal, [he got] more goals and Premier League assists combined than the likes of [Steven] Gerrard, [David] Beckham, [Frank] Lampard. [He’s] just a wonderful, wonderful player.

“I don’t know what’s happened to Dele over these last 24 months. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

“We had the early access footage of Amazon’s stuff and when we watched the documentary, I think all of us were concerned by the way in which Mourinho seems to be targeting him.”

TIF Thoughts…

As Sacks alludes to, Alli enjoyed a superb first few seasons with Tottenham Hotspur but has been unable to match those numbers in terms of goal contributions in recent campaigns.

Do you agree that Mourinho targets Alli in the documentary?

No

He suggests that Mourinho targets the midfielder during the Spurs ‘All or Nothing’ documentary and that could be an area of concern, although the Portuguese manager has suggested that the 24-year-old will feature against Macedonian side KF Shkendija on Thursday and is unlikely to leave the club this summer, so perhaps there is still hope that the Englishman can re-establish himself as a key part of this Tottenham side.
