Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from @HotspurRelated which relayed a report from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness).
The report claims that the Lilywhites have made contact with Napoli over a potential move for Arkadiusz Milik. The 26-year-old forward signed for the Serie A club back in August 2016 from Ajax in a deal reportedly worth £28.8m (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
During his time with the Partenopei, the Polish international has made 122 appearances, scoring 48 goals and providing his teammates with five assists. Here is how a sample of the club’s supporters have responded to the update on social media.

Are you confident Spurs can land Milik during this window?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the sarcasm in some of the above replies that many of these fans fear this reported interest may not materialise into a transfer that would see the £28.8m-rated Milik come in to support Harry Kane. Supporters continued to make their feelings known in the replies.

During the 2019/20 campaign, Milik made 26 appearances in the league, scoring 11 goals and as per WhoScored.com, his average performance rating was a solid 6.88/10. Currently, Kane is the only recognised centre-forward in Jose Mourinho’s first-team squad and so whether or not Spurs escalate their interest in Milik, we believe Tottenham need to sign another striker sooner rather than later.
