Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting to a Twitter post from @HotspurRelated relaying a report from the Mirror which claims some of the club’s players feel Jose Mourinho’s recent post-match comments were unfair.
Spurs suffered defeat in their first game of the new Premier League season on Sunday, courtesy of Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and it appears, the Portuguese coach’s reaction has upset some of those who took part in the fixture.
Mourinho used the word “lazy” when discussing his team’s performance and according to the publication, that hasn’t gone down well. Here is how some of the club’s faithful have responded.
Ben Davies said “I gave my all, I’m sure the rest of the lads gave 100%” they are in denial and dont like being told that they simply didn’t try

If this is true, he’s toast. Once you lose the dressing room that’s it for a manager.

I guarantee it’s Danny Rose that told the papers this.

Which is why these players will never win anything. Mentality is all wrong in my opinion. The documentary shone the light on the fact that the majority of the players simply aren’t winners.

Was Mourinho right to criticise his players after the Everton fixture?
Yes
No
It is clear from the above responses, that many Tottenham fans believe the fault lies with the players rather than Jose Mourinho. They continued to make their feelings known in the replies.
Beginning of the end, I’m surprised it’s taken this long to be honest, JM wins a trophy everywhere he goes, just like he has never list an opening day fixture, oh wait….
Tick tick, tick tock….

He’s correct, we’ve seen him tell the team to press and witnessed them not doing it, it doesn’t bode well for him long term but the team need to take the slack for this one – poor show.

This summer, Spurs signed Joe Hart, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty, two of whom started in Sunday’s fixture.
However, the Lilywhites failed to impress and, therefore, you can understand why so many of the club’s supporters appear to be disappointed by their start to the new campaign.
In our view, only time will tell with whom the fault lies.
