Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed the information that the club’s proposed move for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is now in doubt.
The tweet by Last Word On Spurs, which contained footage originally posted on Twitter by Football Daily, featured a clip of Kaveh Solhekol discussing Spurs’ potential move for the £45 million-rated centre-back, in which the journalist says that the deal is in ‘doubt’.
Solhekol states that the reason for this ‘doubt’ is down to the fact that Inter are looking for a fee of around €60 million (£54.5 million) for the 25-year-old, while Tottenham are only prepared to offer around €30 million (£27.3 million).
In reaction to the news, fans of Spurs flocked to have their say on the matter, with many sharing their outrage at the club’s apparent failure to get a deal done for Skriniar.
What a shock. Was always too good to be true.

Skriniar joined Inter Milan from Sampdoria in what was a £30.6 million deal back in 2017 and has since gone on to make 128 appearances for the club, chipping in with four goals and providing four assists along the way.
However, it was reported earlier in the summer that the Serie A side is ‘open to the idea of selling‘ the defender, and it appeared as if Spurs could potentially be the club to take Skriniar away from I Nerazzurri after Fabrizio Romano stated that there had been a meeting in Italy between Spurs and Inter regarding the transfer of the player.
Do you think that Skriniar is worth paying €60 million for?
Yes
No
However, following this latest update on the deal, many more fans of Tottenham took to Twitter to air their displeasure about the claim.
All the Spurs fans who were expecting a striker and centre back this window have all been Levied once again.

All in all, it would seem like these Spurs fans are disappointed with the latest update in their club’s potential deal for Skriniar.
However, with a little under a week remaining of the summer transfer window, there is still plenty of time to get a deal done, so, in our opinion, perhaps Spurs fans should not lose all hope on a deal just yet.
