Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a squad update by Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho, ahead of the club’s first Premier League fixture of the season against Everton.
In a statement on the club’s website, Mourinho said: “The players have come back without injury, which is a very positive thing, and we are together for two training session and we start the season. The majority of the team, apart from three, know each other well for quite a long time, and the fact I’ve been with them for the past 10 months makes it easier for me, because, in this moment, I don’t need to adapt and the players don’t need to adapt to me, because we know each other already, so I think we are ready.”
It was also confirmed by the club that Japhet Tanganga will be sidelined for the fixture against Everton, as the defender has a thigh injury, while Mourinho will have to make a late fitness call on Giovani Lo Celso, who is said to have a hamstring problem.
After a link to this update was shared by the official Tottenham Hotspur Twitter account, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that the fitness of Lo Celso could be a chance for Tanguy Ndombele to start.

From their comments, it would certainly seem as if these Spurs fans would like to see Ndombele feature against Everton, and, considering the fact that it may not well be worth risking Lo Celso with the club’s packed fixture schedule over the coming month, if Ndombele is fit, a start could well be on the cards for the Frenchman.

All in all, it would seem that these Spurs fans want Mourinho to utilise Ndombele in their opening fixture of the season, and, considering in the curtain-raiser of last season for Spurs, a 3-1 win against Aston Villa, Ndombele scored, it could be a good idea for the manager to include him in the starting XI this time around.
