Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to a tweet from @THFCReports in which they relayed some information provided by Fabrizio Romano following his recent appearance on the Last Word On Spurs podcast.
According to the post, the journalist told the listeners that the Lilywhites will be targeting a centre-back, a winger and a forward during the remainder of the transfer window. So far this summer, Jose Mourinho has added Joe Hart, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty to his squad (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Judging by what Romano has had to say, it appears the north London club are hoping to do further business between now and when the window shuts. Here is how a sample of the Spurs fans have responded to the update on Twitter.
Towards the end of the window. Window ends October and we have about a million games in September a striker is needed now

One fan even appeared to be happy with Levy over the alleged transfer plans, rather than Mourinho, with the Portuguese boss previously stating that he’s not in control of transfer decisions.

All well and good but we need a striker now. The season starts in just over a week and we have only Kane who hasn’t even played a pre-season football match.

We need to buy all the players now! Not after the season has started!

Are you confident Spurs will do further business between now and the end of the window?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters believe they need to do further business sooner rather than later. The transfer window will close on October 5, by which point, Spurs will have played their first four Premier League fixtures, so you can understand why many would prefer to see any business done prior to the season’s kick-off.

Others were not totally convinced that because the club are believed to be targeting more signings will mean they will definitely strengthen further as they look to improve on their sixth-place finish last season.
