Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer update surrounding their club.
This comes after Leeds journalist Graham Smyth shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that the reported rumour linking Leeds forward Tyler Roberts with a move to Derby County ‘doesn’t have legs’.
Smyth then added that Roberts has ‘done well’ for the club during their pre-season period ahead of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Smyth’s update.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:
And the Tyler Roberts to Derby County stuff doesn't have legs. He's done well in pre-season so far.

Good. It’s clear Bielsa likes him.

Leeds signed the 23-year-old back in the 2018 January transfer window from the West Bromwich Albion U23 squad for a fee of £2.57 million.
Roberts cannot go, he’s got huge potential!

Great, I think Tyler is fantastic. Would love to see him kill it in the prem with us!

Since then, the Welshman, who is currently valued at £3.24 million, has made 54 appearances for the Yorkshire club in which he has managed to score seven goals and provide seven assists along the way.
Good. Think Tyler Roberts has the makings of a very good player. Can play up top or 10 role so gives us options and wouldn’t want him going anywhere regardless of who we bring in #lufc #MOT

Delighted to hear this #lufc https://t.co/aIiXu8vRGs

That’s the best news of all Graham. Roberts has fantastic potential to grow and develop. This is no time to sell him.

Would Leeds be making a mistake if they sold Roberts this summer?
Yes
No
Now that Smyth has dismissed the likelihood of Roberts joining Derby this summer on his Twitter page, this opened the door for lots of Leeds fans to share their thoughts on the matter.
Great to hear, can’t understand those who are saying they wouldn’t care if he left!
Shown glimpses of real quality and can go onto being a top player for us.

It appears that these Leeds fans are quite happy by the idea of Roberts staying at Leeds this summer and not moving to Derby.
This shows that they clearly have a lot of confidence and belief in the forward that he can be an important player for Leeds for the foreseeable future.
