Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

In his article for Football.london, Alasdair Gold touched on several of the issues concerning the midfielder, including the ‘public criticism’ he has received from manager Jose Mourinho concerning his ‘performance levels and ability to remain fit’, the, reportedly, poor relationship between the 23-year-old and the Portuguese manager, and the time it has taken Ndombele to adapt to the English game.

It is no doubt because of some, or perhaps even all, of these factors that the midfielder has been linked with a move away from north London this summer. However, Gold states that the club are maintaining their stance that Ndombele is not for sale, despite a recent report by The Sun that claims the club have transfer-listed the player.

After Gold shared his article on Twitter, fans of Spurs flocked to have their say on the matter, with many taking aim at the midfielder, stating their belief that he would not get into the starting XI above a number of other Tottenham players, while others have said that they would like their club to move the 23-year-old on.

The fact that, in the season before he joined Spurs, Ndombele scored one goal and provided seven assists over his 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.99, in addition to scoring a further two goals over his eight Champions League appearances, over which he earned an average match rating of 7.40, clearly shows that the midfielder is an extremely talented footballer.

And, it would seem that, in comparison to the previous comments, the midfielder’s promise has left these Spurs fans hoping that the club keep hold of the £40.5 million-rated man this summer.

Do you think Spurs should keep or sell Ndombele this summer?

All in all, from their comments, it would seem as if these Spurs fans are split as to whether they would like their side to give Ndombele another chance in the side, or move on him this summer.
