Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold that includes a link to an article he recently wrote for Football.london in which he discussed six players that he believes could potentially be sold by the north London club in the current transfer window in order to raise funds for incoming transfers.

In this article, Gold discussed the possibility of Danny Rose, Serge Aurier, Juan Foyth, Tanguy Ndombele, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Erik Lamela leaving the club this summer.

Additionally, in his tweet sharing this article, Gold stated that while he knows that it ‘annoys people’, the Lilywhites ‘need to sell players in order to complete the transfer tweaks [Jose] Mourinho wants during this window’.

This post caught the attention of plenty of Spurs supporters, who shared their thoughts on the club’s alleged need to sell players before bringing players in.

Some Tottenham fans replied to this post to share that they don’t think the club should have to sell before buying in the transfer market.

Judging by these replies to Gold’s post, it may be fair to say that plenty of Spurs fans are far from pleased with their club for their reported approach to the current transfer window.

With the window set to close on 5th October, it will be interesting to see if the Lilywhites get much more business done before the deadline and if they will have to raise funds to complete those deals by first selling some players.
