How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

One of the clubs that he spent some time on was Tottenham Hotspur and Castles provided an update on Milan Skriniar as Spurs are looking to sign the Slovakian from Inter Milan.

Inter are said to want at least €50m (£45.63m) but Spurs’ first bid was only €30m (£27.38m), which was supposedly deemed as “ridiculous” by the Serie A side.

It seems as if Inter are waiting to see if Spurs up their offer for the 25-year-old but that there could be interest from other clubs who have been alerted to Skriniar’s availability.

He said: (20:49) “Inter are waiting to see if Tottenham will improve [their offer].

“They had promised to loan one of their defenders to Genoa and I am told they’ve put a stop on that deal because they believe there’s still a possibility of selling Skriniar.

“So, that may be a positive sign for Tottenham supporters, or it could be that what’s happened here is that other clubs have been alerted to the availability of Skriniar at €50m and there’s a bid coming from elsewhere.”

Do you think Spurs will bid again for Skriniar?

Yes, I think we will

No, we will miss out

TIF Thoughts…

Skriniar has been linked with a move to Manchester United and after conceding five goals in their first two Premier League games, you could argue that they need to sign a defender and with Tottenham having made a low offer for Skriniar, could the Red Devils swoop in?

It is very clear what Inter want in terms of a fee.

Still, Spurs’ first bid was well below that valuation and considering Jose Mourinho desperately wants to sign Skriniar, you would think that Spurs should come back in with an offer closer to Inter’s valuation or they could miss out on him.

It has now been claimed that Fulham have joined the race, so, it will be intriguing to see where Skriniar is by the time the transfer window closes.
