Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported news that their club are interested in signing RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka this summer.
According to Alasdair Gold in Football.london (via Daily Hotspur), the Lilywhites are interested in signing the 21-year-old striker as a back-up to Harry Kane during the transfer window. Last season in the Austrian Bundesliga, the Zambian striker contributed an impressive 24 goals and eight assists in 31 appearances (per Transfermarkt).
The young striker already has 18 caps for his country and has started the 2020/21 campaign in a similar vein to the last; scoring an incredible four goals in RB Salzburg’s 10-0 win against Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz in the ÖFB-CUP (per Transfermarkt). The prolific forward is currently valued at £18 million, suggesting that he could be a fairly expensive option for the Lilywhites this summer.
