A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Evening Standard that Danny Rose will not be joining Newcastle permanently and that Tottenham Hotspur believe it will be a struggle finding a buyer in the Premier League for the England international.
This news came before the Toon announced they had signed Jamal Lewis from Norwich City on a five-year deal, but it seems that Newcastle had no intention of signing the man who spent the second half of the 2019/20 season on loan at St. James’ Park.
This has drawn the attention of many Newcastle fans who are happy to hear that Rose won’t be moving to Tyneside again.
Are you pleased Newcastle are not signing Rose?
Yes, Lewis is a better option
No, I would have liked him
Best news today

Good ??
Didn’t really want to be here in the 1st place!— Paul Sutcliffe (@PaulSutcliffe80) September 8, 2020
Good to hear, I never warmed to him at all.

Good shocking attitude and poor performances too

The 30-year-old made 11 league appearances for Newcastle and earned a pretty poor average rating of just 6.47 (as per WhoScored).
However, this is actually slightly better than Lewis’ rating from last season, but he is only 22 and was courted by Liverpool, so you can see why Newcastle have gone for him over Rose.
This post continued to draw the attention of pleased Newcastle fans.
Another journeyman, living off past reputations, long past his best, we are well rid of him

Can’t say I’m disappointed. Much happier with the moves we are making. Rose looks past it.

Tottenham have wanted rid of Rose since January after he was deemed to be negatively impacting the dressing room.
However, it now looks like they will have to find another buyer for Rose with Newcastle dropping their interest.
It is clear that this news regarding Rose has pleased a lot of Newcastle fans, who feel his attitude was poor, and it looks like Spurs might struggle to get Rose to sign for another Premier League team in this transfer window.
