A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from reporter Francis Martin Patrick Kane, which has a link included to a piece from The Guardian about the Premier League pulling out of a TV deal with a China-based broadcaster.

To get things started a rather easy one. Who scored Newcastle's first league goal of the season?

Kane also claims that the Premier League is set to be £1bn out of pocket in a month.

This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans, who have mocked the Premier League.

The piece in The Guardian states that the Premier League has terminated its contract with digital broadcaster PPTV over unpaid money.

The deal was reportedly worth £564m, and it has apparently left a big gap in Premier League clubs’ finances.

This seems to have pleased many Newcastle fans because of the league’s failure to decide on a takeover bid by a Saudi-backed consortium that, if passed, would have led to the Saudis bidding for the Premier League’s TV rights, which could have brought in some serious investment.

However, the Premier League never made a decision on the takeover, as the bid was withdrawn after a lengthy negotiation process.

This post continued to attract the attention of many Newcastle fans.

A deal for the group led by Amanda Staveley to buy Newcastle was agreed with Mike Ashley in April, but by the end of July, the Premier League had failed to make a decision, and the bid was withdrawn.

The Premier League has since offered its reasons for why the takeover collapsed, but it is clear that many Toon fans find this new situation amusing and hope that they regret not allowing the Saudis to buy Newcastle.

The Premier League never made a decision on the takeover, but we see the point that the Toon fans are trying to make, and it is clear that many of them have taken great joy from this news.
