Supporters of Newcastle United have been reacting to a Twitter post from Keith Downie regarding former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.
According to the Sky Sports reporter, the Toon have held talks over bringing the Scottish forward to St. James’ Park (per Keith Downie).
Downie does go on to state, however, that the two parties are yet to come to an agreement over the wages that he would be receiving.
Fraser departed the Cherries earlier this summer following the expiry of his contract at the end of June after the player rejected a short-term extension with the club (per BBC).
Following the Twitter post from the reporter, loads of Newcastle supporters flocked to it to air their thoughts.

Every time! Why is is so damn difficult to get a player to sign! Just pay him, there is no fee involved and he is better than what we got. Simple

Typical of charnley. We just couldn’t get it over the line.

While Fraser would be available to the Toon on a free transfer, prior to his departure from Bournemouth, The Times stated that the Scotsman was after a contract worth around £100,000 per week.
Should Newcastle pay Ryan Fraser whatever he wants to sign him?
No, he's not that good
Yes, he's a good player
And that’s where our interest ends..

During the 2019/20 Premier League season, Fraser made 28 appearances for the Cherries in which he bagged just one goal and four assists (per WhoScored).
The 26-year-old attacker also earned an uninspiring 6.57/10 average rating which made him the 10th-best performer for Bournemouth in the league.
Had the Scot earned the same average rating for Steve Bruce’s outfit in the Premier League, then he would have only been their 16th-best performer.
We really are a joke club

As can be seen in these responses from Toon fans, they are keen for the club to sign Fraser, however, they are frustrated that there is no agreement over wages yet.
