LFC Daytrippers contributor Grizz Khan has been discussing what he believes to be Liverpool’s intentions between now and the end of the transfer window.

The Premier League champions have already signed Thiago Alcantara, Konstantinos Tsimikas and Diogo Jota, but according to the podcaster, the Reds could still bring in another attacker between now and October 5th.

First up in this Jordan Henderson quiz, how old is the Liverpool captain?

Here is what he had to say on the subject:

“I wouldn’t be surprised – and I’m going to put it out there – if we look at an incoming attacker on loan with an obligation to buy.”

When it was suggested by host Gav Doyle that ‘incoming attacker’ could be Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, Khan dismissed the 23-year-old immediately, saying: “No, no.”

Do you expect Liverpool to bring in another attacker during this window?

Yes

Yes

No

No

France Football recently reported, citing information from Sport, that Jurgen Klopp is interested in the former Borussia Dortmund winger and that the Merseyside giants would prefer a loan deal, therefore, you can understand why the player’s name came up in conversation.

TIF Thoughts…

Having recently signed Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal reportedly worth £40.23m (as per Transfermarkt), you could understand why the club would be looking to bring in another attacker on loan if they were to add further to their forward line.

Liverpool’s current first-choice front three is made up of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, who scored an impressive 46 goals in the Premier League between them last season. Taking that into consideration, plus the fact Jota has already come in, there is certainly credence to Khan’s theory that a frontline Liverpool addition would not involve a transfer fee.
