Phil Hay was recently speaking on the latest edition of The Phil Hay Show and spoke about all things relating to Leeds United.
One of the topics that he spent some time on was transfers and, in particular, the hunt for another centre-back amid links to Josko Gvardiol.
It seems as if Marcelo Bielsa might be keen on adding another centre-back and a move for Gvardiol would be in their budget.
He said: “Certainly, the noises I’ve been hearing, up until now, it’s been a case of it’ll be one, and that will be it.
“It goes back to thing with Bielsa not wanting surplus and additional players around the squad when they’re unlikely to play, but it does sound like he’s perhaps warming to the idea of just having an extra body in there.
“It has to be said with Gvardiol, that they’re talking about fees in the region of €20m, so £17m-18m.
“I think he’s on a very low wage, which should mean in terms of the overall financial package, I think it could fit into Leeds’ budget, but they’ll need to give some serious thought to that about whether they want to do it given that he’s likely to be a bench player.”

Leeds have lost Ben White after he returned to Brighton & Hove Albion and signed a new deal with the Seagulls.
The Whites made three bids for the man who appeared in every Championship game for Leeds last season, but in the end, they could not do the deal and went for Robin Koch.
It now looks like they want to sign Gvardiol, and according to Hay, he will be in their budget should the Whites want him.
It seems as if Bielsa might want another centre-back, so this move for the 18-year-old could be one to keep an eye on.
