Nice easy one to start with, who scored Leeds' first goal of the PL season?

Di Marzio revealed that Udinese are closing in on a transfer deal for Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra. In his post relaying this news, Marshment said that the Watford man is “seen as a natural successor to Rodrigo de Paul and his arrival will reportedly see his fellow Argentine allowed to leave…”

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest update.

Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:

De Paul signed to Udinese back in the 2016 summer transfer window from Spanish club Valencia for a fee of £2.7 million.  Since then, the 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £27 million, has made 146 appearances for the Italian club in which he has scored 25 goals and provided 25 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Would Rodrigo de Paul be Leeds' best player if he signed to the club?

Now that Marshment has shared this post onto his Twitter page, this paved the way for lots of Leeds fans to have their say on the matter.

However, there were some Leeds fans responding to the post who were not confident that the club will sign De Paul in the coming weeks.

With the current summer transfer window set to close in October, it will be interesting to see if De Paul makes the move to Elland Road or not before then and if Pereyra’s reported move to Udinese will have any impact on the situation.
