Many Leeds United fans have been talking about the latest tweet that the club recently relayed on social media.
The club’s official Twitter account recently posted a confirmation of the club’s signing of Diego Llorente, who has arrived from Spanish side Real Sociedad. The tweet carried a link to the club’s official website and that talked about the confirmation of the transfer as well.
The tweet caught the attention of many Leeds fans, who flocked to the news update and made their delight very clear.
Really looking forward to seeing him in action, defence needed strengthening and I think he fits the bill well ?

The 27-year-old defender has arrived at the club for a fee of £18 million and apart from playing at centre-back, he can also play in the defensive midfield position or at right-back.
He is a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy and he left Los Blancos to join La Real in the summer of 2017 for a £6.30 million fee (as per Transfermarkt).
Some other Leeds fans also talked about the tweet involving the Spanish defender.
He’s Bielsa ready. Looks like he hasn’t eaten for a month! ??

Another decent signing! #lufc

Great to have CB cover… maybe even a starter, Bielsa will know best!
Now we just need De Paul or Malinofskyi to complete the jigsaw!
I think the club may wait to see the outcome of the JKA court ruling with Leipzig before they commit to another signing though…. #lufc https://t.co/fpnNXwnyZT

27-year-old Llorente made 29 appearances in La Liga last season and picked up a rating of 6.51 for the Basque-based club (as per WhoScored).
As many as 15 players picked up higher ratings than him in La Liga last season for Real Sociedad and it shows that he didn’t quite have an impressive campaign but he does have the experience of playing regular first-team football. Because of his signing, Leeds now have five out-and-out options for the centre-back position and he adds depth to that part of the pitch.
So this might prove to be a useful signing for the Whites and fans can only hope that he does well at Elland Road.
