Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments made by Norwich City winger Emiliano Buendia.
This comes after journalist James Marshment shared a post on his Twitter page relaying quotes made by Buendia to the PA news agency (via TEAMtalk).
The Argentine said that it is his “dream” to go back to playing in the Premier League after his Norwich side were relegated towards the end of the 2019/20 season.
Before relaying this quote in his post, Marshment said that Buendia is a player that has been “strongly linked” with a move to Elland Road “at the start of the window and could come back into the reckoning” if the club fails to sign Rodrigo de Paul before the window shuts.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:
Emi Buendia – a man Leeds were strongly linked to at the start of the window and could come back into the reckoning should Rodri De Paul not come off – has been speaking on his future.
"Norwich understand my situation and know it's my dream to return to the Premier League."

I really really want de paul, but Buendia is a good player, definitely not to be sniffed at

Norwich signed the 23-year-old back in the 2018 summer transfer window from Spanish side Getafe for a fee of £1.35 million.
I really want De Paul and if we end up with Buendia it will feel like a step down but in reality it would still be a very good signing. He’d be a great 10 in our set up

If no De Paul, this should be the obvious plan B. Hopefully along with Kent.

Buendia was Norwich’s standout performer throughout their 2019/20 Premier League season, earning himself a season rating of 7.08/10 for his performances in the 36 league appearances he made for the club in their previous campaign (per WhoScored).
Obviously would love De Paul. But if he’s too expensive let’s try and get Emi for £15-20m as he clearly wants to leave. Already had a season in the Premier League so should be able to hit the ground running.

Would you like to see Leeds make a move for Buendia?
Yes
No
That’s the player we want. Cheaper, younger , better than De Paul and with EPL experience and hungry to play in the EPL. Let’s hope Orta does his magic !

Now that Marshment has shared this post onto his Twitter page, this paved the way for lots of Leeds fans to share their thoughts on the player.
I like Buendia. We’d better make an offer, before Villa or West Ham do

It appears that this group of Leeds fans are admirers of Buendia, who is currently valued at £13.05 million, and would like to see him make the move to Elland Road, regardless of whether or not the club manage to sign De Paul in the coming weeks.
