Many Celtic supporters have been responding to a recent Twitter post from @cpfc_extra in which a report was relayed from the Daily Mail regarding the future of Odsonne Edouard.
The report claims that the Hoops would be looking for at least £40m for their star striker and names a number of Premier League clubs who are said to have enquired about a potential transfer for the Frenchman.
According to the Daily Mail, Celtic would owe a 40% sell-on fee to Edouard’s former club Paris Saint-Germain, hence the high asking price. It also goes on to name Everton, Leicester City and Aston Villa as potential suitors, as well as suggesting both Crystal Palace and Newcastle United would be priced out at £40m.
After the Crystal Palace news account shared the update, here is how a sample of the Parkhead faithful responded.
Give us 40m then

During the 2019/20 campaign, Edouard scored an impressive 21 goals in 27 Scottish Premiership appearances (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk) and this season, although it is early days, he has continued his excellent form, scoring three goals in three league appearances so far. As a result, you can understand why the Scottish Premiership champions may be demanding such a substantial fee for their striker.
