Many Leeds United supporters have been responding to a recent Twitter post from the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth in which he shares an article confirming the club are interested in the Fulham player Cody Drameh – though Emiliano Buendia is not one of the Whites’ top targets.
According to the piece, 18-year-old Drameh is a player who ‘has been tracked for a number of years’ by the Elland Road club. The right-back is reportedly valued at approximately £400k but it is understood that Fulham want a sell-on clause included in any deal that is agreed.
The report goes on to discuss the future of Norwich City’s Argentine winger Emiliano Buendia and claims that he is not among the club’s priority transfer targets this summer, despite director of football Victor Orta being a long-time admirer of the 23-year-old. Here is how a sample of the club’s fans have responded to the update on social media:
Fed up of hearing who we are no longer “interested” in what I want to know is who we are interested in and making bids/offers on!

As much as it’s great developing youth I don’t see how transfers like this will help us stay in arguably the most competitive league in the world .
Hope there’s some big signings on the cards.— christo (@ctrlitt) August 6, 2020

Leeds are preparing for their first campaign back in the Premier League since they were relegated in 2004, and whilst we understand the supporters’ desire to see the club strengthen during this transfer window, we would say it is a little bit early to be panicking. The current transfer window has until October 5th to run, so there is still plenty of time yet for the Whites to work towards landing some of their transfer targets.
