Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest news linking them with a move to sign Oliver Burke.
Turkish outlet Fotomac (via Daily Record) have stated that Celtic are the ‘frontrunners’ to sign Burke and that they currently ‘lead the race’ to sign the former Hoops man. They also link Turkish club Trabzonspor with a move for the Scottish player.
A tweet regarding this was relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record recently. It caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who flocked to this tweet and made their opinion very clear. Some of them were annoyed about this news update and wouldn’t want Burke back at Parkhead.
Let’s think. When Lenny came back the lad hardly got on the park for the 1st team. No chance he’d sign him.

Would you like Burke to return to Celtic?
I'd like that
Never!
Only if his final ball has improved

Burke was at Parkhead for half a season and he had arrived at Parkhead on loan from West Bromwich Albion in January of 2019. He spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Spanish club Alaves. He has previously been at RB Leipzig and Nottingham Forest as well.
Some more Celtic fans reacted to the news linking the right-winger with a Parkhead return.
I’d rather see Boli and Griff play every game all season, than see Burke back for one… https://t.co/tk4hOIiots

Don’t ruin my day, it’s been going so well with the Ajeti news. Not a snowball’s chance in hell Celtic are trying to sign Burke. That’s one of the most bizarre stories I’ve read this year.

Burke didn’t make too much of an impression at Alaves last season as he scored just once in 31 La Liga appearances. He racked up only a couple of assists (as per Transfermarkt).
It shows that he isn’t quite a quality player and needs to improve. Celtic may be ‘frontrunners’ to sign Burke right now, but it remains to be seen if this leads to any concrete bid from Neil Lennon’s men.
