Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the latest comments that Neil Lennon has made about the club’s plans in the summer transfer window.
Lennon was recently talking to Sky Sports (via BBC Sport) and he revealed the club’s plans to sign a striker this summer. The Hoops boss confirmed that the club is ‘spinning a few plates’ and it will be ‘really good’ to sign a striker this summer.
He said that the club wants a striker ‘just for squad depth and competition’. He also confirmed that the club has held talks with Steven Fletcher’s representatives.
These comments were relayed on Twitter by CelticBible recently and many Celtic fans were left unhappy by what Lennon had to say.

The Hoops have been linked with a move for Fletcher and Lyle Taylor in recent days. Before that, they had a bid rejected for Ivan Toney and Albian Ajeti took time to make a decision about a potential Parkhead move.
Some other Celtic fans were also not happy with Lennon, with one fan saying that the Hoops need a centre-back as well.
He’s been ‘spinning a few plates’ for weeks.
Must be world record by now surely… https://t.co/LWeCoaPp6l

Lennon needs to stop talking about any players who haven’t signed already. https://t.co/AsJSUCxDjK

Fans are clearly annoyed at Lennon for not having signed a striker and they would want the situation to be sorted out soon.
Vakoun Bayo has been linked with a move to St. Mirren. Leigh Griffiths is facing injury issues as well (BBC Scotland via CeltsAreHere). So it explains why Lennon might want a striker who can come up with goals in the absence of Bayo or Griffiths.
With the club looking to win their 10th Premiership title in a row, they might want to sign a striker as soon as possible.
