Speaking recently on the Football Writers Podcast, Miguel Delaney claimed that Manchester United are not currently interested in Wolves striker, Raul Jimenez.
Since moving to Wolves from Benfica in what was originally a loan deal before Wolves made the deal a £34.20 million permanent one last summer, the 29-year-old has gone on to prove a roaring success for the club, scoring 43 goals and providing 18 assists in 97 appearances.
Last season, the striker scored 17 goals and provided six assists over his 38 appearances in the Premier League, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.25, ranking him as the club’s second-best performer over the course of their campaign, helping his side to finish a very impressive seventh in the Premier League table.
As a result of his fine performances, Jimenez had been linked with a summer move to Manchester United. However, Miguel Delaney recently stated on the Football Writers Podcast that United are not currently interested in the forward.
He said: “In regards to Jimenez, I remember hearing in early June that he was on Manchester United’s list of potential targets, although quite a low priority compared to people like Jadon Sancho. But this week, United have been quite adamant that they’re not interested in a current deal.”

As such, it would appear that, despite recent reports claiming that Manchester United have been given the ‘green light’ to make a move for Jimenez, as well as Wolves reportedly preparing for the striker’s exit, Delaney is of the belief that United are not interested in a ‘current deal’ for the £36 million-rated 29-year-old, which, if you are a Wolves fans, must be music to your ears.
