Wolves Fancast pundit Adam Price has been discussing the future of Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-back Ryan Bennett.

During the second half of the 2019/20 Premier League season, the English defender left the Old Gold in a loan move to Leicester City.

In the loan deal, there was an option for the Foxes to purchase Bennett for £5m should they wish, however, Brendan Rodgers’ outfit decided against the signing, according to the PA news agency (via Sports Mole).

So, in the latest episode of the Wolves Fancast, Price discussed the future of the centre-back and aired his belief that he would not be at Molineux for much longer.

To kick-off this quiz on Nuno Espirito Santo on the hard side, which club was his first game on the touchline at Molineux against?

He said: “My player [who I believe will be] definitely gone, I have picked [Ryan] Bennett. Unfortunately, I think that Nuno [Espirito Santo]’s shown his hand with that one, really.

“Unfortunately, I do really like Ryan Bennett. I think he’s been great for us, really. He’s had a great three years with us.

“But I think if Nuno’s going to allow him to go out on loan, and there was a permanent deal in place there for him to go Leicester if he played the right number of games, then I think [the] writing’s on the wall for him.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what Price had to say, he evidently believes that Bennett is no longer part of the first-team plans at Molineux and the ‘writing’s on the wall’ in regards to a departure.

Would you be disappointed if Ryan Bennett was sold this summer?

A recent report from Football Insider seemingly vindicates what the pundit had to say regarding the defender, as Wolves have placed a £3m valuation on the Englishman.

That is due to the fact that Norwich City were touted to be interested in re-signing the 30-year-old player in early August.

The fact that Wolves have supposedly dropped the £5m fee they had agreed with Leicester to a £3m asking price for Bennett would certainly suggest that his future has already been determined.
